Editing is a craft and an art form that takes place between two creatives. My editing craft is focused on text development, developmental editing, line editing, and copyediting; I thrive getting into the weeds of a manuscript and fine tuning it for publication. Exercising taste and diplomatically sharing aesthetic judgements, my goal with every project is to learn who my client is and attune my editing notes to the sensibility and psychology of each author I work with.

Writer

While writing has the tired perception of isolation in the woods, I choose to approach the art of drafting from a community viewpoint. I approach writing with the same mindset as curating, the labor of writing is a community labor. Outside of my writing practice, I love to help writers at all levels hone their proposals, query letters, plot, etc. My goal is to help clients feel confident at all stages in the writing process.

Professional Development

Entering the job market with the right documents is the key to landing the job that you want. In addition to teaching these skills for 10+ years, I’ve also reviewed hundreds of CV’s and resumes from professionals at the top of their field. All good CV’s and resumes need a strong cover letter. My goal is to help clients develop these hiring documents, preparing them to feel confident applying and interviewing for their dream job.
